Uzhgorod Rock garden is a small analogue of Volodymyrska Hill in Kiev. It is covered with remnants of natural of volcanic rocks. The monument dedicated to painters Bokshay and Erdeli who were founders of Transcarpathian School of Art is situated there. A monument was installed in 1999 in honor of the City Day – 1106 years. An artificial yellow limestone hill is laid out atop the rock garden. A stream originates from it and flows into the lake which resembles for its shores contours of borders of the Hungarian Kingdom. In the rock garden grow boxwood, juniper, arborvitae, biota, pine, spruce, birch and alpine and subalpine herbs and flowers. Below the Square a cafe “dairy” is located. The original restaurant “Chervena Ruzha”, built in the early twentieth century as a hotel Bercheni is situated opposite the café.
