Uzhgorod Bati passage was built in 1927 – 1929, during the period of the Czechoslovak authority. The passage was named after Slovak shoe king Bati. There was built “Palace of Bati” from the side of Theater Square , on the first floor there was a big brand shoe store and on the next floors there were repair workshops. Along the passage were located the shoe production rooms, sewing workshops.
